Intern Program

If you are interested in a contracting career, this job is for you! You will act as a business consultant to program managers, advising them on critical decisions in planning for and acquiring the goods and services needed so the United States Government can accomplish its mission.

If selected to become a member of the Government-wide Acquisition Managment Intern Programm, you will be required to complete a two-year intership program. Interns complete four six-month rotational assignmetns in sponsoring agencies. The rotations are designed to give interns valuable practicall experience in procuring goods and services for the federal government. During these rotations, interns have opportunities to learn from many high-level leaders in the federal acquisition field. Upon completion of the intern program, you will be converted to a permanent position within the Department of the Interior or other sponsoring agency.

The next class for this program is slated to begin in June 2010.
