DOI 2009 Discrimination and Whistleblowing in the Workplace (No Fear) Training

Note to Interior employees: All Interior employees who can, should take the mandatory training course listed below through DOI Learn, Interior's online learning management system. The CD-ROM version of the course is an alternative delivery method intended for those employees having problems accessing the courses on DOI Learn. Questions about accessing DOI Learn can be addressed to your bureau DOI Learn manager (see list).

The following downloadable course file is designed for use on CD-ROM, but can be loaded on a personal computer and run from there as well.

PLEASE PRINT OUT AND CAREFULLY FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USE OF THESE FILES. These instructions are provided immediately after the link to the file below.

This course is mandatory for all Interior employees. Instructions for reporting completions vary within each bureau and in the Office of the Secretary. If you do not have instructions for the use of CD-ROM's from your bureau, please check with your DOI Learn manager (see list).

Instructions for Using the zipped files

The files contained in the zipped folder can be run from a PC or copied to a CD-ROM and played from CD-ROM. For most users, there will be no sound unless a CD-ROM is used.

After clicking on the link, be sure to Save the file to a location on your PC (DO NOT OPEN!).

Once the zipped file is saved, it must be extracted. Do not double-click to open the zipped file. Right click on the file name and then click Extract All. You can accept the default location and the files will be placed in a folder with the same name in the same location on your PC.

To copy to CD-ROM, open the extracted folder, and the folder within that folder. You should see two folders (courses and lms) and four or six other files (depending on your PC setup). Copy these two folders and the four or six files to the CD-ROM.

From either CD-ROM or the PC, you can click the "start" file and follow directions to play the course. Detailed instructions are contained in the "Instructions" MS Word document. If you click on Start and cannot see the title of the course listed, then the file has not been properly extracted. Please contact your IT help desk for assistance with unzipping the file.

Please clear the cookies in your browser before beginning the course. To clear your cookies, open your browser, click on Tools >Internet Option >Delete Cookies.
